Website

We temporarily process necessary connection data, particularly your IP address, to operate the website and prevent abuse. We use no analytics, advertising or tracking services and set no cookies. Technical providers are involved only as needed. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure, reliable operation under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Scans and storage

Selecting or dropping a file, or selecting a sample, starts the upload directly. An activated camera sends individual captures. We process the image and its document data, such as a photograph, names, document number, date of birth, nationality, sex and expiry date, and show you the result. The requested recognition is based on Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. No automated identity or authenticity decision is made; document images are not sent to external AI services.

As explained before upload, we store original images and complete results encrypted for 30 days from upload for training and quality improvement. They are then deleted automatically. This storage is based on your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. It applies to the public demo, including its sample documents. Only submit documents you are authorised to use and for which you have the necessary consent from the people concerned.

For earlier deletion, send your upload ID to info@oasisscan.de. Cancelling or resetting does not delete uploads already stored.

Contact and email

We process your name, email address, message and optional details to handle your enquiry. The basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for product- and contract-related enquiries, and Article 6(1)(f) GDPR otherwise. We retain correspondence for as long as needed to handle it or meet statutory retention requirements.

We use Google's Gmail service for email. Google processes email content and transmission data; processing outside the EU or EEA may occur. Information about the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and standard contractual clauses is in Google's international data transfer information. Internal upload notifications contain only technical information, without images or recognised document data. Their legal basis is Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

Your rights

Subject to the legal requirements, you have rights to access, rectification, erasure, restriction and data portability. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests on grounds relating to your particular situation. You may withdraw consent at any time for future processing; prior lawful processing is unaffected. Contact us to exercise these rights at info@oasisscan.de.

You may complain to a supervisory authority, including the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Access to Information Brandenburg, Germany.
